DESCRIPTION:

Altrec.com, a leading e-commerce retailer of performance outdoor gear and Greatoutoors.com, an outdoor focused content site, is seeking to add an experienced HTML Email Coder to our growing email and marketing teams. We are a fast-paced organization, focused on exceeding the expectations of our customers and encouraging people to be in the Great Outdoors.

We are seeking an HTML Email Coder who can assist our designers in building smart email campaigns that render across all email clients and who is ready for the ‘next level of thinking’ unique to this marketing channel. This is an outstanding opportunity for a coder with 1-3 years experience looking to contribute to an exciting company.

(Please note – this HTML Email Coder position is not a design position)

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 yrs of HTML coding experience
• This role requires excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with the Email Marketing Manager, Creative Design Team and Merchandising Team.
• The candidate will need to be organized and efficient, play close attention to detail, able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with web design and image editing software such as the Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) preferred.
• Proficient working from a designer’s Photoshop files to optimize for online use.
• Knowledge of e-mail construction, including HTML, CSS, and variable data scripting.
• Desire to understand the limitations unique to various email browsers.
• Familiarity with integrating email with landing pages, tracking programs and other data.

This position will play a pivotal role in the expansion and optimization of Altrec.com’s Email Marketing Program. Work alongside talented, energetic, and forward-thinking individuals to push our Email Marketing Program to the next level.
